I’m not starting this thread to get everyone all pissy about Sprint and ask for rediculous things, but I would like to see a few more "free" (aka included with plan) features or add-ons available to customers. Why should we have to pay for all the ring tones? All the apps for smartphones? Ringers too? Throwing a long time customer a $3 ringer every year is a bit cheap. There should be more openly available content free of charge to customers. Keep us from sourcing the free stuff on the web and keep us in house. If we hang out in the "Digital Lounge" more often we’re more likely to buy stuff from time to time too…

Do I have my phone set up wrong or does Sprint Messaging lag behind everyone else? My phone only shows when I miss spell a word. Other phones have auto-type, I can’t find it on mine. If some one sends say a cartoon that has motion, on my phone it just comes as a picture. Is it my phone or does Sprint have a bad messaging system?

So – I think I’m fairly typical. Â My wife and I both have Sprint phones. Â My two daughters have Sprint lines and I have also given a phone to my mother-in-law. Â So I’m maxed out at 5 lines. Â I was interested in giving a phone to my mother *and* replacing my home land line with a single shared phone in the house (I have the Airave with unlimited minutes for all phones as well). Â However, the cheapest plan is still quite expensive and I’m nowhere near my monthly minutes. Â I’ve called at least two or three times and have been told there is nothing that can be done.
So – Sprint, if you’re listening, please allow people to have more than 5 phones on a shared plan. Â I’m not a ‘plan-expert’ but you might just be the first company around to allow that!

Again, this is yet another example of Boost pre-paid getting a phone BEFORE Nextel post-paid. Something just isn’t right here, and I believe the blame should be put squarely on our illustrious management.Â
Â
As for the info, thanks for the post Sarah.

As I stated to TRKR13, your post is useless and pointless because it is being posted in the completely WRONG area of this forum. If you were using VAM, then it’s a different story, but you never mentioned it. Furthermore, this particular thread is about the VAM SURVEY!
Â
Seriously, people (especially you newbies)…if you’re going to post a rant, great…do so in the rant section UNLESS it has something DIRECTLY to do with VAM, surveys in general, or this survey in particular. To address anything else (e.g., poor customer service, annoyed pricing schemes, etc.) is simply ignorant and it makes your complaint/rant completely irrelevant. Just wanted to let you know. Â

Took my new Pre to Best Buy to have the shield installed (BECAUSE I DIDNT WANT TO BREAK ANYTHING). Get the phone back and the power button doesnt seem to work properly. Wont lock the phone like it used to… and doesnt come back on after the first touch.
Â
Now it doesnt work at all. Have to open the keyboard to access the screen. Not very pleased right now. Doubt this will be covered and will have to shell out 100$ again.
Â
If that is the case, and the phone is within the return of 30 days, if I just return the phone will I get a full refund and the re-upped two year contract voided? Or am I stuck with my 8330?
Prior to the Pre (or pre Pre…LOL), I’ve been successfully using Blueant bluetooth headsets (Z9, Z9i, V1, and Q1) with each model getting slightly better than the previous model. My last phone was the Instinct and I had zero problems with these headsets. The V1 and the Q1 are the latest models and the ones I use the most.
Â
Now enter the Pre. Both the V1 and Q1 sound great when I am holding the Pre in my hand or I place it on the table. However, when I put the Pre in my pants pocket, I hear all sorts of static. It actually sounds like the phone is almost out of range. I’ve done all of the firmware updates and even called Blueant with no luck.
Â
Anyone have any suggestions?
Â
Anyone use a bluetooth headset that you actually LOVE? One that is relatively small (unlike the popular but ENORMOUS Plantronics), has great noise cancellation capabilities, and decent talk time? Size is definitely an issue because I put the bluetooth in my pocket when I am not actually on the phone unlike many people who just wear it on their ear all day and look like the Borg from Star Trek!
