Best Calling Card

Well, I’ve had the Instinct since August of last year and I threw in the towel and got a Pre on Friday.

I’ve followed these forums since then, often times posting rants and trying to help other users out whenever I can.  Most of all, I shared the pain of this phone.

It’s a silly shame because the Instinct was a rather respectable phone.  Full of features, some of them worked easily and well.

But they were all overshadowed by other massive bugs and shortcomings.  Most shortcomings stemming from the lack of software support and correcting bugs that have been repeatedly addressed by users.

 

I resisted temptation to chuck the phone at a brick wall for a Youtube video and will be giving the handset to my sister in a couple of weeks (I want to have some time with the Pre before giving a go/no-go within the 30 days).  My sister and brother-in-law can now deal with this device.  They are not technophiles like I am, so they may not care about the bugs and shortfalls.  At least it will have a home.

 

My girlfriend still has her Instinct, and she is happy with it so far as well.  It meets her needs.  So I will still be popping my head in here every once in a while to see what is up and let her know about any updates, etc…
