Does anyone know how to turn EVDO on and off on the Palm Pre? I have had other Palm phones in the past and you could disconnect from the internet when you weren’t using it (Save battery life and what not), but I don’t seem to be able to find that feature on the Pre. Any help appreciated.

Is one more reliable than another or all they all the same? Why should I pay 4.4cents per minute when I can pay 1.2?

My husbnad is based in Afghanistan and uses a Roshan calling card to call home. He is now in a remote area of the country and doesn’t have access to purchase new cards or add minutes onto his current card. Does anyone know of a way to either purchase these cards or to extned his minutes? Also, if anyone else has any other suggestions in telephone carriers, I’d be eternally grateful. Thanks!
