I know this has been posted a ton, but I am just fed up with this thing. I have MR6 and all my texts are out of effing order now. this was one of my favorite features. sarah any news on this?

Please understand that this is not a slam of either Will or Sarah, they are the only two that try to help us here. I was just wondering if Dan or anyone else at Sprint knows or even cares about the issues with the Instinct. I understand about product roll out and issues associated there with. I am talking about the known continuing issues, everything from poor video quality to calls being dropped and everything in between. When it first came out it was called a smartphone and touted as an "iphone killer", Sprints words, not mine. As we have seen since the release of this phone, they have quietly removed both adjectives from the description of this phone. This phone has got to be one of the greatest disappointments for Sprint customers, not so sure about Sprint(they made a ton of money on this phone). I guess I am just wondering how many others really feel that this phone has failed, in one advertised aspect or another since being released. Now I don’t need a million responses to this post, I just wanted this to be said. If so many of us are that unhappy with the phone, why hasn’t a concerted effort been made to have our unified voices heard by Sprint? Sure, they my respond, they may not, doesn’t matter to me either way. I just think if there were an organized plan to get the word to Sprint, would it really make a difference or would it fall on deaf ears? Would Sprint then try to correct some/all of the issues with the phone.

Is anyone else having this same thing happen? 

 

I just noticed this morning that I am no longer getting the blue star when I have new emails.  Up until yesterday I would learn of new emails from the little blue star.  But today that’s not happening.  I’m sitting at my computer and seeing emails come through to GMail.  I’ll go to my phone, there’ll be no blue star, I’ll check email and see the new emails.  I didn’t want to be notified for every new email that comes in, so I like seeing the blue star when I would check my phone. 

I know this may seem trivial, but i need to silence my txt alert and leave my call alert on. Samsung say’s this is not an option with this phone > What about a ringtone without any audio , or the volume  turned all the way down ?asign this as my txt alert .If so , where can I find and down load this ??????

Ok, it’s been a month! We still have no fixes to f’ed up fixes from last month. It is becoming more and more apparrent to me that the only ones listening to us are Will and Sarah. This is not a place to be heard. This is a sand trap, where you post all of your bugs and complaints only to have them eventually swept under the rug.

 

I’m begging all of you who are instinct owners to hit every blog or website you can find and start complaining about our lack of service. We are paying customers, we should not be subject to crappy software running our  phones. We should not taken advantage of by having ads placed in our software that we are PAYING for after all. 

 

Hell, if they are going to put ads in our software they should lower the fee for the Simply Everything Plan! As I side note, I didn’t know the SEP included BS! 

Again, this has all happened since the newest update.

 

#1 – My RSS feeds, when they actually work, will be completely wiped out if I attempt to useone of them.

 

#2 – The + and – "buttons" don’t work anymore, I can still scroll with the bar.  This occurs in more than just the web browser.  I have had this problem with ALL of the + and – "buttons", even in the phone settings

 

Perhaps because of a bit of naiveté on my part, I did not anticipate the possibility that a thread and forum designed to help myself, and others with the same problems, could veer of course.  This time I will be sure to ask a specific question(s) instead of leaving it an open ended discussion.

 

Are these (#1 and #2) common problems, or am I  the only one?  Additionally, is there a solution to these(#1 and #2) problems, short of resetting my phone to factory settings?  If there is a solution(s) available, what are they?

Suddenly getting texts to tell me I have email.  Anyone else getting these?

Do I have my phone set up wrong or does Sprint Messaging lag behind everyone else? My phone only shows when I miss spell a word. Other phones have auto-type, I can’t find it on mine. If some one sends say a cartoon that has motion, on my phone it just comes as a picture. Is it my phone or does Sprint have a bad messaging system?

The unlocked APIs that Sprint promised for MR-6 aren’t fully unlocked, as people who got the failed update may have seen.  Many of the APIs (location, filesystem, PIM, and maybe more) are only available with the options "allow this time", "allow until exit" or "never allow".  The glaring omission is "always allow".  Without that option, every single time you run an app you will have to answer the permissions popup.

 

I believe Sprint should allow users to make the choice to "always allow" API usage on a per-application basis for every API.  This is a trivial change in the policy file included in the firmware update, and should be easily changed before the repaired MR-6 comes out.
