There’s a new free weather notification service called CellWarn that sends watches, warnings, advisories and even forecasts to your cell phone or email.   Its nothing revolutionary, you can get this type of stuff free a lot of places, but this service sends warnings by polygon where most others will send you a warning if any part of your county is in a warning.   The National Weather Service issues

Sprint Project Connect is a method provided by Sprint for recycling used wireless equipment (i.e., handsets, batteries, accessories and connection cards). This method accepts all wireless handsets and equipment regardless of carrier or condition and uses the net proceeds to support Internet safety for kids. On 8/6/09, Sprint Smartview – the connection manager for CDMA Broadband cards will update its software to version 2.27. This new software version gives CDMA Mobile Broadband Card customers the choice to either restrict international roaming or allow it.     The new software will be available 8/6/09 at www.sprint.com/downloads . The new softeware defaults to automatically restrict international roaming.

The Samsung Exclaim will soon be available in white.  This launches exclusively in Radio Shack on 8/7/2009 for 60 days.  All other channels including retail will recieve the device in white on 10/11/2009.
